Climate Finance Week Ireland 2022

Climate Finance Week Ireland 2022

The fifth Climate Finance Week Ireland 2022 (CFWI22) took place in October 2022, a remarkable event which brought the Irish-located finance community together to renew its collective focus on climate action. Across the week, over 10,000 people tuned in in-person and online. It was wonderful to be on-board helping with all the digital communication aspects of the campaign once and liaising with a multitude of stakeholders from both the private & public sectors, as well as various international actors. This was my fourth year assisting with the communications around this landmark event in the climate agenda calendar. There were a series of sessions hosted across the week including a Gala Dinner sponsored by Maples at the National Gallery of Ireland and a Women in Finance event hosted at KPMG Platform X which I was delighted to attend in person.

This year’s CFWI22 marked a number of firsts for the sustainable finance agenda both nationally and globally, as well as offering the Irish-located and international finance community a clear picture of the action being taken in the implementation of the national Sustainable Finance Roadmap.

Central to the 2022 event was the soft launch of the International Sustainable Finance Centre of Excellence (ISFCOE), a priority measure under the updated Ireland for Finance strategy and ‘Action 1’ of the Sustainable Finance Roadmap. It is planned to be fully operational in Q1 2023 and we will be responsible for overseeing the rollout of the new brand throughout Q1-Q3 2023. Exciting times ahead!
